Deputy Prime Minister Binh, during a working visit to the UK, highlighted the strengthening ties between the two nations, emphasizing a period of promising growth in their bilateral relationship. He noted the regular exchange of delegations across various levels, the close collaboration, and the mutual support both countries demonstrate on bilateral and multilateral platforms.

Trade relations between Vietnam and the UK have seen significant growth, with two-way trade reaching $8.4 billion in 2024—an 18% increase compared to the previous year. Vietnam has become the UK’s second-largest trading partner within ASEAN, while the UK ranks 15th among 149 countries and territories investing in Vietnam.

Despite these positive developments, Deputy Prime Minister Binh stressed that the full potential of the partnership remains untapped, highlighting substantial opportunities for further progress.
